Hello

I have an Acer ES1-511 laptop.

Suddenly the laptop will not power on.

The power adapter will not charge the battery, or power the laptop at all.

I have tested the adapter - and it is not the problem.

No lights come on at all when the adapter (or another known working adapter) is plugged in to the laptop.

The laptop was sitting on the table - working fine one day, and not at all once the battery died.

Nothing was spilled on it - it wasn't dropped...

Not sure where to start with this.

Thanks,

A

Resetting the battery might help. Here you can see how to reset battery https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34843/~/acer-internal-battery-reset

If nothing happens after battery reset, then most likely the motherboard got faulty.

Just to be sure, when you try to power on the laptop no lights come out, no fans start spinning?
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
