I purchased 3 Acer Aspire R1600 computers 3 years ago from best buy at the fantastic price of $199 each. I was going to use them as media streamers with the XBMC live program as the OS. (Linux kernel). After using them for about a year or so, I discovered that XBMC live was too difficult for me to manage incremental upgrades to it. I decided that I wanted to go back to the windows XP home edition that came with my acer computers. Much to my horror, I realized that I had wipred the hard drives during the process of installing XBMC live. I have been trying to reinstall windows xp home on the drives using the licences that came with the computers but can't get them to install. I am willing to buy a recovery disk to get my devices back to factory settings. Where can I get them without the 3rd party tech support Acer sends me to that tries to hard sell me a service contract?
