I just purchased a new Acer desktop, and I noticed that there's an "Acer Remote" control application installed and running on it.  That application contains a QR code that links to an ios (iphone/ipad) App that can be used to remotely control the PC.

The QR code, though, sends me to the Taiwan App Store;  since that's not my local App Store (which is the Canadian App store), Apple won't let me download the App from there.

Unfortunately, the Acer Remote app isn't listed on the Canadian App store, so I'm unable to download the app for my iPhone/iPad and therefore can't make use of the remote application.  Are there plans of submitting the Acer Remote app to other ios App Stores (like that Canadian one)?

The Acer Remote app has been released worldwide and should be available through iTunes.

I have personally verified that it is available on the United States and Canada stores.

Please check your regional iTunes store for Acer Remote, by Acer Incorporated.

Hi,

I have an iPhone and I downloaded the "AcerRemote" app from the US store but I cant seem to connect to my Acer Aspire V5. Whenever I go into the app no connections are even available. Both my pc and my iPhone are connected to the same wifi network. Any ideas?
