There seem to be Spam-bots that will create an account on a forum and then post to it. It has been a major problem elsewhere. There is software available (e.g. Spam-O-Matic) to block it.

    In order to provide our members with the best community forum experience rich with features, we use a rather sophisticated, proprietary platform. We do employ our own defenses which are constantly updated when new events are discovered.

     

    Our goal is to avoid being overly restrictive, while still blocking unwanted spam content.
