Touchpad and screen problem on Acer Chromebook R11

Just got my new Acer Chromebook R11 today, and I've noticed that the touchpad only works when its in tablet mode, which is super counterproductive since I would only need to use it in laptop mode, which I can't. Also the screen can't rotate at all, no matter what I do.. Anyone know how to fix these two problems?
