My Acer Chromebook 14 Randomly Displays a Grey Screen on External Monitor When Connected.

ok, something really funky came around. My Acer Chromebook 14, when connected to my Acer monitor, tends to Conk out the monitor Screen. What happens is that the monitor turns gray and no image is displayed, but the Chromebook screen still works. The monitor isn't broken, I know that much because of the fact that I can still access the monitor options. It isn't the cable because I swapped the cable yet still have the same issues. And I tried it with my Raspberry PI just now, and it works. The only way to get it working with the monitor again is if I completely restart the Chromebook, which in the long run is very annoying.

So I can confirm that it's something to do with my Chromebook, despite the fact that I literally purchased it last month.

(Also, I have developer mode enabled on my laptop so that I could use Crouton for Linux. I doubt that this affects it in any way, however.)
