I am looking into buying 2 Acer Chromebooks. (R11 CB5-132T) One for me and one for my Fiance who currently lives in Hong Kong, and is from the Philippines. I am going there soon, and we will use these devices to communicate back and forth. The issue I have is the power grid in hong kong and the Philippines, is way different than here in the US. Will the device charge in the Philippines and Hong Kong? If not, are there adaptors that can be purchased in order to allow the device to charge in those two countries?

I need to purchase soon, and appreciate if anyone can help me to answer these questions.

Thank you,

    Hello,

    These models are shipped with AC adapters multivoltage and multifrequency: 100-240VAC and 50-60Hz.
    100-240VAC means 100 ---> 240VAC

    50-60Hz means 50 or 60Hz

    • USA: 120VAC - 60Hz
    • Hong kong: 220VAC - 50Hz
    • Philippines: 220VAC - 60Hz

    So you'll only need the right plug adapter. This official website should help you.
