C720 stopped working this AM, two months past warranty - no blue light - black screen Help~

Purchased new 720 April 2014, has worked fine, no issues.  Was on it in the morning, battery had life.  Opened to use and nothing.  Black screen.  No lights. My husband had just tried to use the Chromebook USB to charge a small speaker. I now see the power button is right next to the USB.  Could something have dislodged and how would I fix that?  Any help would be appreciated~!

    cinder38,

Try this for me, just to try. Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to see if it turns off. After about 10 seconds, press the button again to see if it turns back on.

Is the connection of the power dapter being plugged in snug, or loose?

If there are no lights lit up at all when the system is plugged in that could be a power adapter or hardware problem with the Chromebook itself, but let's not get to that point unless the previous troubleshooting (above) fails.

Justin,  Thanks for the post.  I did try that power fix and others I found online but the machine did not respond.  Good news is that ACER has agreed to fix it and it's on it's way to the repair shop in Texas.
