Acer certified

Hello.

I work in the tech. department in a school district where we have nearly 800 Chromebooks deployed. Most are now out of warranty, and starting to have problems. Is there any way for one to become certified to work on Acer products? The service from the service center is great, but in a school situation, the turnaround time is 2 full weeks of school. Is there any way one can become certified by Acer to work on these Chromebooks in house?

    Hi Eric,

We don't have a "certification" but if you'll send me a private message with your contact information I can certainly forward it over to some folks who may have better options.

I'll be back in the office Monday morning and I'll confirm with if/when I get a message.

    Thanks,
    Cory

I am also curious about repair training/certification.  Our district has a large number of devices and are going to a 1:1 in the near future.

MAPS_Tech and eric5 -- we are also a school district with over a thousand deployed Acers (C720 and C740) -- would you like to compare notes on common issues and practices?

    Hi!

I am inquiring as to whether you have a certification program for on-site technicians. I have been a Technician Level II for 17 years in the public school system. I was recently hired at a Charter School to be the Technology Specialist. I am really the entire tech department. We have around 500 Acer Chromebooks in our K-12 program.

I would like to be able to repair any machines with issues on-site without voiding any warranties.

Please let me know if there is a program or process that equips me for such work.

    Thanks!

    Chad Gaines
