When using the chromebook in mirroring mode there is no way to setup the overscan feature, but the overscan works great with external monitor in non-mirror mode.  Why is there no way to setup overscan in mirror mode or is there?

From what I understand, the Chromebook uses the EDID from the external device to set the appropriate resolution for the output.  Can you turn overscan off on the external device?

I do not believe that there is any way to change it on the Chromebook.
