Acer Chromebook won't connect to internet

Really really annoyed with this stupid device!  It won't do anything unless connected to the internet, as I can't sign in to use any apps when it's offline.

It won't connect to the internet, either wifi or using an ethernet cable.  I originally set it up in another location which was fine, but where I am now it won't work.  I've entered the network key and it tells me it's connected but wont open any web pages.  I've tried following the troubleshooting tips here but it's impossible as I need to sign in to google to access settings, and obviously can't.

Will be intalling another OS asap, but for now really need to get the internet working!
Please help!

Re: Acer Chromebook won't connect to internet

It very much sounds like it needs to be reset so that you can set it up for your current location.

How do I recover my Acer Chromebook?

Re: Acer Chromebook won't connect to internet

Are you seriously suggesting I have to reset it every time I go to a new location?!  This  device was bought for convenience to use whilst travelling!  I also need it to work when not connected to the Internet (I'm so writer so would use it significantly offline).

Anyway I can't adjust any settings when I can't connect to the Internet to sign in.  I can't believe such a useless, user unfriendly machine has made it as far as the shop floor!

Re: Acer Chromebook won't connect to internet

I'm sorry that you perceived that I was suggesting that you needed to reset the system whenever you changed location.  That is not what I posted.  Given a specific instance of an issue, I offered a solution which may have worked.
