Hello,

I just bought myself an

Aspire F17 771G with i7 7th

With a lot of RAM and HD to be used as virtualization platform.

I installed Win10 Enterprise on the machine. I was pretty surprised as I found out after intalling my first VM that this could not be started because of missing suppoprt for virtualization.

The configuration for activating that feature which is supported from Intel is not even available in BIOS/UEFI:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/processors/core/i7-processors/i7-7500u.html?_ga=2.213709906.797919724.1495362058-1782614927.1495362037

I tried many available scenario from the web to activated that feature but was uncessfull. Even this one to was didn't help:

http://community.acer.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Hyper-V-and-VT-x-BIOS-support/ta-p/380175

Is is possible that the VM / VT-x feauture which is officially supported from the microprocessor is completelelly shot down from Acer? I used diffrents hardware feature detection tools to find out the feature available on the machine. Most of them find out other not.

I'm about to giving up my Acer for my lab building project.

I will be very thankfull for every help.

TIA.

Martin
