There is also one bug where youtube will sometimes freeze for a few seconds. And is there any hope of performance improvements? They should at least be on 4.2 level, especially 3d performance, which took quite a hit with 4.4 actually.

Hello all,  this is my (ugly) experience with my A1 810 after KK Update:

1) touchscreen responsiveness has become worse than before (and this was not that good already,  before the update);

2) battery life decreased sensibly (I would say 20%);

3) video reproduction of HD videos is not possible; 

4) wifi signal strenght has lowered;

I already performed a factory reset with no improvements.... what a pity

I found temporary work around you messed up YouTube videos - when im using YouTube app from a user which is not an owner, there are no problems with the video playback, also, tablet feels a bit snappier. And right pulldown notification menu, the one with all the toggles looks a bit different - there are less icons - it looks as if the owner of the tablet is experiencing some conflict with 4.2 and 4.4 while ouher users on the tablet are getting somewhat more normal experience. I hope this gets fixed soon.

But really - these things should be fixed by Acer - with permanent solution.

Anyway, the fix: Go to Settings => Developer options => enable Force GPU rendering.

I have played some videos over the course of last two or three days and there was no sings of corrupion when going in and out of fullscreen, rotating display, minimizing video and so on.

What i haven't tested yet was the impact this setting is having on battery life, because i had to charge my tablet every day because of work, but i will test it in the next few days and come back and report my findings, but it was almost 13 hours since last charge, i had 4 hours and 35 minutes on screen on time and i still have 56% of battery left. Tablet was used mainly for ebooks, some web surfing, some YT videos and maybe a quick game and the WiFi was turned on all the time.

I really hope i hepled someone with this.
