Hi,

While I don't have an ETA, the A1-810 is scheduled to receive an update to Android 4.4 (Kit Kat).

I know that doesn't answer your question of when, but we'll share more information when it becomes available.

Cory, when you say that 810 is scheduled to get an update, does that mean that devs are still thinking whether or not to give us an update or are we definitively getting an update?

I'm just asking because it wouldn't be the first time for the update to be scrapped even it was scheduled to be pushed to the devices at some times.

What I would like to know is should I wait for the the update or not?

The update is coming, but they won't tell us when until it's in the final stages of testing (and all indications are thaat it will pass).

Me too, I just purchase the a1-180. I wish they going to came out the update 4.4 soon. Is there going to be a update or not ?

I just received an update. My device is still on 4.2 but as i understood this update is meant to prepare our devices for the upcoming 4.4 update. This gives me more hope for KitKat. Can we maybe get the changelog?

And is Acer planning to provide us with post-4.4 updates?

PS. Im really glad to see some work being done on our devices :-)

Tried the update but I am a bit disappointed as there seems to be a performance hit. Every now and then there are hiccups. And before this update my device was completely smooth. Gaming performance is also a bit diminished, not much but performance hit is definitely noticeable. This update is definitely not what i expected it to be. Looks like this update is in a need of a hotfix.
