I bought a tablet Acer Iconia b1-780 with internal storage 16gb but the real storage is 10,17Gb.
It says used out of 10.17Gb
When I connect the tablet to my PC,I get the same:
8,77Gb free of 10,1Gb
What does it mean?I bought a tablet with 10gb internal storage instead of 16Gb?????Can somebody explain it to me?

You lose a certain amount of storage when the disk is formatted, and then you lose even more to the operating system that is installed. It looks like your Iconia has a MicroSD slot so you can at least expand your storage a bit more that way with a MicroSD card.

I understand but shouldn't my storage rather look like:

    8,77Gb free of 16Gb

It depends on how the disk is partitioned if I remember correctly. The space is split up to be used for other things and isn't visible.

yes, the internal storage normally are partioned in 2 parts.

    1) main OS

    2) internal storage ( part of this storage is used by factory default applications)

so 16GB became easily 10GB of raw storage.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
