I've just update kitkat for my tablet. But,

Did anyone root 4.4.2 kitkat iconia 830?

Can anyone confirm if Spotify is also behaving erratically? It is for me, even after reinstalling.
Gosh dang it, I love this tablet, kit kat runs so smooth in it, I just wish the apps worked properly

Battery life seems much more consistent after updating to KitKat.

As digriz mentioned above me, just wish that all apps behaved normally.

Would like to hear more about the SD Card-upgrade issue.

I have an A1-830 on the way.

Was hoping to give it its initial charge then immediately upgrade.

Would you all recommend just staying with Jelly Bean?

I need the SD expansion for sure!

Tablet crashed last night so I was in the recovery mode menu (I think that's what it's called) and accidently put my tablet into 'demo mode' ... Thought rebooting would solve the problem but it didn't!

I disabled the looping demo video in the app processes but some of the settings remained changed and unchangeable and 'demo mode' was still displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Unfortunately I had to factory reset to resolve the problem. Lucky that I had most of my apps backed up but still a massive ache!

So just a word off warning, don't put your tablet into demo mode!!

Also I didn't know that the tablet backs up your apps, is there any way to select how often it backs up etc?

I let Google backup my apps. That way I can switch from phone to tablet to another tablet and the same apps are there.

Good news, got FB Messenger to run by installing an older version.

Messenger 3.2.3 is work in android 4.4.2.

So, other than the one poster who mentioned that the microSD card reader quit working after upgrading, no one else is experiencing that poblem?

Why when I try and install that older version of messenger does it say app not installed??
