Hey guys, I think my situation is hopeless, however I want to thank everyone who even reads this post

in advance.

I own an Acer A-200. The thing is screwed up in so many ways, it would take a Ted Kazinski Manifesto to post

them all, so I will list some bullet points. ANY and ALL help will be totally appreciated!

1. Tablet screen will not open apps. in certain parts of the screen.

2. I'll be reading a book, the Tablet will jump to some page I was on 2 days ago.

3. I can not UNMUTE the sound.

4. while using an app, it will close suddenly, sending me to some random place.

5. None of the installed apps will back up to sd card. Is there an app to backup to USB? I have spent roughly $150

    on movie and book downloads. It's the books I worrlosing the most.

6. From what I have read, Acer Tech support will probably do a factory reset, erasing all my downloads, not test it

    and send it right back to me.

 

 

That's for starters. Any help? Anyone? Anyone? Hey, where is Buehler?~ Old Movie Reference. Smiley Wink

    1. If you are having touch screen issues, you can attempt to recalibrate, but it's likely a servicable issue.
    2. No idea what app you're reading in, or why it would jump to an old bookmark.
    3. Your sound is muted.  Have you attempted to unmute in Settings?  What else have you tried?
    4. What app?  Where does it send you?  What were you doing?
    5. We are unable to support apps on Google Play, unless they are Acer apps.  You would need to search and contact the app creator for support.  Try a file manager?
    6. Unfortunately, you're going to want to back everything up regardless.
      A factory reset is a good place to start when you are having issue, to determine if it is a software or hardware problem.

    thanks Tommy, I have contacted acer support twice since it is still under warrantee, and have been told twice that

    an email has been sent to return unit, but no email has been receeived and it's beggining to get old...

    I understand that performing reset in the tablet will delete all the application, books and movies, which you have already paid for it.  However, after performing reset in the tablet.  You can still download the applications, movies and books. You just have to login to the google play store using the original gmail email ID.  And you can see the movies list, books list in the my application tab or my account. 
            To confirm that, you can login to google play store and check in the my application tab.  The books or the movies, which you have already paid for it.  Will still be available.

     I'm having similar issues with muted sound. I've tried unmuting in settings the sound only works thru headphones.

    I can hear the sound when I drag the icon between min. and max in the settings but no other time.. the headphone icon in the bottom right corner always stays on.. any help at all would be much apreciated...
