When I try to send a pic on text my phone immediately drops wifi and tries to connect to data network. This doesn't work well in the house. The send fails.
Any ideas. My old phone never had this issue.

oh i re-read what you wrote...so you are sending a MMS?

i thought you were referring to apps like FB messenger or whatsapp.

if it's MMS, the behaviour is correct since MMS works only on network provider data, not on wifi.

about failing, you need to check with your network provider if MMSes are allowed on your plan or network provider and if the APN on your phone is set correctly.

never had this issue, have you tried a factory reset?

    settings/backup & reset - factory data reset

if it still drops, contact Acer support service if under warranty.

I haven't called them yet. It's a new phone and works great except for that. I did read online that once you send a pic you use data and it changes to data from WiFi and while just doing a regular text message it stays on WiFi. Not sure if that's correct.
