aspire 5600u webcam--how to adjust image brightness?

The image from the builtin webcam on my 5600U AIO has always been way too bright.

(For example, to use it for video chat, I have to be in a semi-dark room, otherwise the image is really washed out.)

This is Windows 10. The Camera app Settings apparently has nothing for brightness.

Is it possible to adjust it some other way?

Thank you very much! ..Bill..

Drivers usually come with configuration software. Try downloading the driver from here and see if you can configure the brightness.

Thank you! This is always a good idea.

The support page for the 5600U shows drivers for Bluetooth, FIR, VGA and that's it.

    Nothing for the webcam.

It might help if Acer could tell us who made it. I've looked through what's available in Device Manager with no hints as far as I could see.

    Thanks again!

PS: Maybe the only solution is an analogue one--a neutral density filter....

Possibly download another webcam viewer software that allows configuration of brightness?
Also, in my camera app, there is a brightness slider...
