Aspire 8942G. The on screen display of volume level has stopped functioning.

When I use the volume wheel on the keyboard, I would see an on screen numeric value from 0 - 100 that shows the volume level.  It has stopped working.  The volume and the volume icon on the taskbar are working fine.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Update:  I found the problem was a setting change in Norton 360.  It's now working.  Thanks !!!

I have the same problem! My HDD crashed Man Frustrated so I had to reinstal all programs [Windows7 and the original Acer programs from the website]. For the MediaControl I'm now missing the led shining when the speaker is disabled and no visual on screen display of volume level. I think this is part of the Acer Mediaplayer[?] which is NOT available on the Acer website.

What can I do to make it working as before??

    Gr. Henk
