    Hi Ethos

IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL BSoD's are usually caused by incompatible drivers or devices. This is likely to be caused by the 8.1 update.

Check out Acer Support to see if there are any updated drivers for your V7.

If there are not, then you may well have to revert back to 8.0 - changes Microsoft made to 8.1 means its not compatible with all components - hence your Blue Screens.

    Hope this helps!

Do you think if I go back to win 8 the ram will be ok?

    I was just thinking that!

Go back to 8.0, then see if the blue screens stop.

If they continue, then the BSoD's are being caused by the RAM....!!

BSOD : IRQL not less or equal than >>>> Can be absolutely anything.  Best to follow the full upgrade guide provided by Acer.  Update to newest bios, uninstall any nvidia/intel vga driver.  Download the 8.1 drivers in preparation for your upgrade. Then you do the 8.1 update.

To follow on from the BSOD, I have seen this caused by drivers mostly, but also the cable from a card reader to the mainboard, a webcam, a touchpad, allsorts can cause this error.
