how do i factory reset my acer a500 when locked out for too many pattern attempts??

Hi i won the tablet from Rent A Center in 2011 and its a family tablet. just on Christmas Eve my brother put in too many pattern attempts. i dont know my google account password because i have many of them because i have lots of android devices. i tried to reset it with the paper clip thingy. but nothing. i tried to do the step with the volume key and the power button with the rotation lock but it brings it displays the dead android with a red triangle. so i restart it and its back to normal on the same locked screen.
