acer aspire 5750z flashing power lightsHi can you tell me if this is battery or dc socket problem

Hi  i am trying to find out  where my problem lies, after a short period on charge  both the power on and battery lights  start flashing together  and no charge is made to the battery, on occasions   when laptop powered off i can get the battery to charge, do i have a  faulty dc socket or  battery  does anyone have  experience /advice  please.

It could be the adapter, the battery or the power board internally.

I have the same problem, took into a pc repair place. The verdict they came back with was a faulty cpu.  Went in with the flashing lights and not charging, not sure how the cpu effects the charging.

Just like Tommy says really.

 

Normally I find it is the battery but you really do need a known good working battery & adapter to determine what part is faulty.
