X110P projector vertical lines of fuzzyness even with no VGA input

Hi, my acer x110p projector has developed vertical lines of fuzziness even with no VGA input, is this a setup problem or a malfunction

Sounds hardware related, especially when you do not have anything hooked to it. How old is your lamp?

the lamp is new only used the projector 3 times.

just noticed while moving the projecter if I press on the base the display is ok for a few seconds then the lines come back!

Think your right it looks like a manufacturing fault
