According to Google Play support page:
https://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.p
The Acer Iconia A500 tab I bought almost a year ago is still not supported. As in, I cannot add it as a device to my gmail acct and use Google Play Store.
Any info on when this will be remedied? TIA
As a complete Android n00b if I have misinterpreted or misunderstood I would appreciate correction. Again, thanks.

The A500 and the A510 are essentially the same. My A500 has been working for more than a year now with no problems. All I had to do was to put in my correct G-mail address and password while connected to a WiFi network. The rest just falls into place. So I guess I have to ask, "Are you connected to a WiFi network?"
