QUESTION 1:

Pls whenever I power on my system, it will take me to Advanced Boot option, if I don't

press "start windows normally" it will not boot.

Pls how can I remove the advanced boot options that always display during boot.

I just want the system to boot directly into my Operating System (Windows 7) as I power

it on.

QUESTION 2:

I discovered when I am working working with the system, sometime the "Backspace key" will

not work until I re-boot the system, How can I resolve this issue from re-occuring?

Am using Acer Aspire One AO751h.

Thanks in anticipation as you reply.

Question 1: Advanced Boot menu always appears on start

It sounds to me as if the system is never properly shutting down.  How are you powering the system off?

    Question 2: Backspace key

You may have an issue with the key or a piece of software.

What software are you using when this occurs?

Question 1: Advanced Boot menu always appears on start

I do always shutdown the system properly by follwing start button > shutdow. Am not using the power button to shutdown the system.

    Question 2: Backspace key

I think the backspace key is no longer a problem as I have reverted the O.S back to windows XP Service Park 2 that came with the laptop.

NOTE: After reading alot of article from acer website I thaught upgrading the BIOS will solve the "QUESTION 1" above but no avail.

The default BIOS is Version 0.3206 but I have upgraded it nto Version 0.3212, I am still having same problem (QUESTION 1) above. Pls any help, because I intend returning the laptop to my friend tomorrow.

    TIP: The question 2 (Soln)

From articls I read I discovered The Aspire One AO751h does not work too well with Windows 7 especially 1GB RAM, and a Synaptics Touchpad driver was the cause so I uninstalled the drivers and the backspace works wella.

Can I downgrade my BIOS to v0.3206?

Pls am still seeing the Advanced boot option even with XP how can I resolve this Thanks in anticipation and God bless.

I installed the neccessay drivers  without synaptics pointing device drivers, Encartar 2009, corel draw 12,  winrar, adobe reader 9, winrar, mavis beacon,  vlc, idm, tera copy, yahoo messenger, usb disk security, ower sio, mario game.

NOTE: I formated the system using a USB flash drive, I hope this is not the problem.

    Formatting is not the issue.

Prior to installing all of that software, does the issue occur?
