Turbo Boost - Travelmate 8481T

I have wiped my acer and installed my own setup of win7. I have installed all the drivers available on acer's website for my laptop. What I've noticed is that after installing the Turbo Boost Monitor Application that my processor, no matter what I put it through, stays at the bottom of the scale. Seems to never kick in. Also, the unit shows that it is on "energy saver" mode. I checked to ensure my BIOS is up to date and noticed there are no options for turning it on or off. I can only assume it is on by default in this case. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Turbo Boost is a processor feature and only activates when its needed. Such as when using high CPU consumption software and even during boot. There's no option for this on the BIOS nor software that will turn it off/on. The activation is determined by the processor not via BIOS or any other software.

You may want to try switching your computer from Power Saver to Balanced and or High Performance.
