Switch to discrete GPU

Hello,

I'm recently bought a new Acer laptop V3-551G which comes with Dual graphics 7640G and 7670M. I'm able to switch between APU and Dual graphics in my AMD Vision Control. With APU checked on games run much better than with Dual graphics, how is it possible? What exactly APU means? Is there way how to use only dicrete 7670M which is more faster then 7640G? Also I tried to use High-performing settings in AMD Vidion and still nothing.

Thank you for answer.

APU is basically your GPU. For a complete definition, you can view http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apu. In regards to switching the graphics, you can Right click on the desktop, and select the option for Configure Switchable Graphics. I hope this is helpful.
