i am a owner of acer aspire 1603lm (1600 family) notebook (quite old i know).i make a faulty bios update with the bios of 1606 modem (1.04 version).after the necessary restart the laptop doesn't boot again.when i press power button i hear cpu fan and cdrom is flashing but no post on screen.i read a lot of bios recovery technics about phoenix crisis disk and press some compination buttons.i make a dos bootable usb stick and i run the crasis utility which include the right bios for my laptop.the result is that 3 files is copied to the usb stick.i remove battery and i hold fn+esc keys, plug the power and press the power button.i saw that cdrom led is flasing, usb stick is flashing (only when laptop is powered up) and cpu fan is working.after 10 min nothing happens.i try fn+b,fn+f,winkey+b or f...still nothing.i have read the service manual and it says about some jumber at the one ddr memory hold.at my laptop (and all 1603 series) these jumpers doesn't exsist.

can someone help me how to repair the bios of my laptop?
