Okay Last thursday I got PM from Acer Cory. I respond to him , that's it no followup. to sumariaze it again
-bought r7 , send it for repiar with me speding $80 of my money( with insurance) , because that's how it workes with acer, even though it's brand new laptop
-after two repairs wifi didn't work( almost 4 weeks of my time gone on repair including long weekend)
- got a replacement laptop ( wifi and spacebar didn't work)
- got another replacement laptop wifi is still an issue ( I have to be within 2 to 5 feets from the router to get any decent speed)
I can not return it to Bestbuy because it's after 30 days.
Acer cory ,
Please fix this or just refund my money so that I can buy another laptop and really do my actual work and complete my projects. what a nightmare....

I have sent in my unit and gotten it back to find i have the same issue. What does ACER suggest to do next?!!!! I'm a student and having a fuctional laptop with reliable wireless capabilities is part of my livelihood!!! FIX THIS PROBLEM ACER

I have the same problem, Linda. I against hard deadlines, and there no such thing as taking a few days off while I send my computer for a repair or a trade. In fact, I bought this computer (R7) in way too much of hurry because my last laptop was stolen when my house was burglarized and I needed to get work done. There is also the issue of having paid for a MS Office professional suite, which is not licensed for a reinstall on another computer. The cost for the software isn't exactly chump change, and I've already paid a thousand bucks for the Acer.

Dear r7 owners,
I have said it 100s time, R7 with snid below 330xxxxx has wifi issue and after acer know about this issue they did fix it with and r7s that have snid 330xxxxxx and over, make sure that your snid is 330xxxxxx or over 330xxxxxxx.
If it is below that return it or replace it where u bought it right away.

this is my 3rd replacement laptop and my snid is 32xxxxxxxxx not working.... so I have to contact Acer again for snid of 330xxxxx... oh my God another level 1 and level 2 night mare....

Did you try to replace wifi card with another brand ..... like Atheros?

Good news (sort of) for those who don't want (can't) send their pc to acer. Yesterday I bought intel 2230 wifi card and put it to r7. First test are quite good - connection 10-15m away from router is stable but in my case they are not as good as standing next to it samsung np530 (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2990102308 to http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/2990105466) but I think it has connection to my hdd stress on r7 (btw don't know why
).
Another (for me unfortunately) is lack of bluetooth...

if OEM (like acer) are not using this kind of wifi cards - there are no drivers - bt does not work ![]()

So basically you made up your mind and you are deciding to get a different computer and you want to trick acer into taking your computer back by asking the people on the acer forums if you can do so... If you are within the first 15-30 days, maybe you can seek out the retailer but if not... then odds are you bought it and used it for over a month and its yours... If you are having wifi usses, they will fix it... This is why you need to reaserch your purchases before you make them.
