Hello,
I need to find the correct part number for an Aspire 5742 screen replacement. I find the array of model numbers somewhat confusing. The full model version seems to be:
5742-486G50Mnrr
It also has LX.R4M02.070 printed under the battery housing.
This is a very good laptop, but is not worth repairing at the local service dealer, and I am sure that I can replace the screen myself if I can get the right part.
Any help would be much appreciated.

There are a number of panels specified for this model. If you are intent of replacing this yourself then the best approach would probably be to remove the panel and get the manufacturer/part number directly from your original part. This way will ensure you get the exact panel you need.

Alan,
Thanks for the reply. I've picked this laptop up second hand as not working, the individual had tried to replace the display themself, I believe they've used the wrong screen hence my request for the correct part number so that I can do this myself. So the existing screen part number is not of use to me.
Thanks
David
