Please help me with my problem regarding my Acer Aspire 4745g laptop.  Everytime I go into BIOS and change the Graphics Mode from 'Switchable' to 'Discrete', I end up getting a black screen on the next boot. I know that the laptop boots into Windows because the startup sound still plays, it's just that the monitor shows nothing. Any tips on how I can get the Discrete Graphics Mode to work?

can you right click on desktop to change from discrete to switchable

should work as needed under switchable

Whenever I right click desktop, I can no longer see the option to Configure Switchable Graphics, thus I cannot switch to my discrete graphics. Don't know at what point this happened.

GO back to BIOS and switch back to a working mode. Update the video driver when you are inside windows. If you don't want to go through the normal updating, then you can install RadarSync which is an automatic driver updater.
