I have a Gateway LT2021u, KAV60 netbook. As Gateway is an Acer subsidiary company, and the LT2021 is a repack of the Acer AOD250 KAV60, can I upgrade Gateway LT2021u BIOS with Acer AOD250 BIOS? I have checked and recheck the specs on both netbooks and they are the exact same netbook. Gateway recently release BIOS upgrades for KAV80, but they will not flash to my netbook, and I have searched the entire internet for an answer to this question, but no one seems to have an answer.
Specs for Gateway LT2021u KAV60

As you have already found, no, the BIOS for the systems are different.
Is there a particular reason that you're wanting to reflash the BIOS, much less to an Acer BIOS ?

Well, the reason I want to upgrade my BIO is they have released a fix for boot sequence issues inherent with windows 7 OS and my product line. Also, my netbook is already running Acer BIOS, V.1.09. It's even the same model as the AOD250, a KAV60. I've been having problems with my booting on to Windows 7, and thought this might be a solution to the problem.

Have you attempted to download and flash the LT20 BIOS update v1.12 ? That is the one you're wanting, correct?
