I have an Aspire S7-391. Love it. Wish the screen would flip, but I knew that when I ordered it.
I have found COUNTLESS complaints about the wireless connectivity issue. Huge problem for me. The reason I bought such a slim ultrabook was portability...this the wireless MUST be reliable.
Love the noteook, but I am REALLY disappointed in ACER for putting this product out to market in this condition.
I will spend my entire Saturday morning updating the driver to see if that fixes the problem. However, I just don't see the common user being able to do this without a great deal of aggravation and confusion (I'm a techie).
Where I love my utrabook, I couldn't possibly reccommend this product to my colleagues or friends. Shame on you ACER.
More to follow...

Gutterball.
I removed the old drivers and rebooted. I installed the newest driver for bluetooth and wireless. It installed and I rebooted again. 10 minutes later, I lost my internet connection.
Frustrated and disappointed. I didn't pay this much money to have all of these problems.
After this post, I am packing this thing up and sending it back to where I bought it. Can you say ASUS!?!?!?
Again, shame on you ACER. Poor quality testing and assurance efforts. No more ACER for me!!!

Hi generob,
To remove the application you go into the control panel.
Then you find Programs and Features> Find Atheros and click uninstall.
This will remove the program application and drivers.

I've tried this solution. It solved the issue partially. Now I can stay connected as long as S7 is plugged in. But, when it works on battery power, "limited connection" issue is back on.
P.S. I use Belkin N150 Wireless BGN router.

Hi TheACN,
I may suggest you to go to power management, uncheck power saving to wireless adaptor.
See whether this could help.

Go into your power settings by right clicking the batter icon by your time and date from the desktop. Right click and select power options. Click on change plan settings by by power saver. Click on change advanced power settings. Click the plus next to wireless adapter settings, and click the plus next to power saving mode. Next change everything to maximum performance. That should solve your issue. Also do the above steps for the balanced profile and any other profile you have. The computer is putting the wireless adapter to sleep. I would also suggest you uninstall the driver for the atheros wifi adapter from programs and settings under the control panel. Restart the computer. Reinstall the updated drivers you download from acers drivers page. Then do the above. Should fix your problem. It fixed mine!!!

So I used this method. It solved the problem ... almost. The connection still switches to limited every now and then. I've downloaded the newest drivers (dated 12-28-2012)
Acer, I think this is unacceptable. Never ever did I have this kind of issues with a device.
I love the S7 but this problem is irritating as hell. It is because of this that I strongly advice people not to purchase the S7. I mean, think of it, you are selling an expensive device that should have the following spec:
Connection: WiFi (most of the time working. Randomly disconnects, mostly when you don't want it to )

ACER.. Please Do Something... we don't want to return this ultrabook, but we have to if it can't stay connected to the internet.
There are several of these forums (there is another one on Acer for this same issue called "Aspire S7 - 391 WiFi Problems" having 165 posts), but no one has been able to solve the problem. From that forum, Cory from Acer suggests they may have found the issue and are putting a new driver through QA before they release it; no further update as of yet.
On other forums, people have tried the below, but ALL FAIL:
After 11 days of trying to fix this issue, I think I have no choice to return it. I will have another look at Samsung Series 5 as a replacement.
