hi guys

Laptop Specs

acer aspire v3-571g

Intel core i3-3120m 2.5GHz 3MB L3 cache link here - http://ark.intel.com/products/71465/

Motherboard - VA50_HC_CR

NVIDA Geforce 710m 2GB VRAM - not sure if this is relevant but just in case.

6GB DDR3 ram

i was wondering i have looked up the chipset that the i3 is running on and under compatible products for intel i have found a i5-3320m link here http://ark.intel.com/products/64896/Intel-Core-i5-3320M-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz

They are identical in the socket supported the TDP required the ram they support the actual package size also the Graphics and IMC Lithography (i am not quite sure what this means) in fact everything is identical except the PCI version however this is a graphics expansion slot and i think does not relate to the processor anyway. however i was wondering is it possible to upgrade this laptop to that processor and would the bios support it i am aware that acer would not support this but i would do the upgrade myself i have taken laptops apart enough times and feel i am competent enough to do this myself but i was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to this.
