I have a W500 Tablet, it has just been changed from Windows 7 to Windows 8

No it wont hold a charge & comes up with a message "NO Battery Detected" Also the red light is constantly flashing.

It works fine on mains power.

I have the same issue after updating to windows 8, updating the bios did not work, the battery is not removable. Is there anything I can change in the bios to detect the battery.
