i can't see noone router when the connection drop so it isn't a router problem.

my acer sometimes freezes for atheros fault.

i have updated every driver ( inclused wifi driver ).

i have read on google that this is a common problem with this chip .

i'm really sad that a really old pc ( i buyed this pc only for the big screen ) has a pathetic problem like this and i know the fault is only of this crappy wifi cheap ( i read this chip is **bleep**ty on linux too )

I would like to get a bit more information so that we can accurately assess what is going on in this situation.

You state that the system sometimes "freezes for atheros fault."

Do you have any error logs, screen shots, pictures of this?  Any error messages?

What is the current driver that you are using and where did you obtain it?

I want to make sure I'm understanding what you've said.

You are presently using a USB Wifi adapter and are not having freezing issues.

Have you disabled the Atheros network adapter?

What is the driver version that you are using for the Atheros network adapter?
