Hi..I have 3 years old Acer aspire 4937 model. Recently it was started showing the message "consider replacing battery" while it stopped getting charged. After 2days...it does not turn on at all. It stopped starting. I replaced new battery. But just showing charging Bluelight. But when I start...it just tries showing another little Blueline on pad and goes off while no boot or no display. Please suggest what to do.

Remove the battery and attempt to operate the system with only the AC adapter connected.

This will help you isolate the issue as the battery failing to charge or the AC adapter failing to send power.

That doesn't sound good ... the only thing I can suggest at this point would be to follow the steps below to perform a "power reset".

If everything is plugged in correctly and it still will not power on, follow these steps to complete a ‘power reset' of the notebook.

    1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
    2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
    3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
    4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
    5. Normally power on the notebook.
    6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
    7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.

If that fails to work, you are looking at replacing boards to correct the issue.

I'm sorry to hear that the power reset was unhelpful.

At this point, it appears that the system has suffered some damage to a board related to power or the mainboard.  It is not possible for me to diagnose beyond that point.

Obtaining a new board or repairing the old one would also be beyond my ability to assist.

Contacting a local service center may help, but it not guaranteed as the unit is several years old.
