Weird textures in games

I recently purchased an Acer Aspire V3-771.

At first I noticed this texture issue while playing Warlock: Master of the Arcane. I assumed that it was a problem with the game, so I googled to see if anyone else had the issue, but didn't see any results. Unfortunately I forgot to take screenshots.

Now I noticed this exact same problem again while playing Medieval II: Total War, and now I think that it must be the computer and not the games. This time I remembered to take a couple screenshots.

I would post my dxdiag, but I'm not sure how to add attachments to the post. The text file itself goes over the 20 thousand character limit for the post.

Any idea what the issue could be? Thanks.

Great question and happy to see some images. this is thankfully not an issue with the unit you are using but this is a software issue with the game. Generally this is caused when the game has a multiple layer location with textures. This is an issue when the games does not understand the layer map and will mix in causing the random mix of things. Try running repair on the game and see if this helps. If issue remains this may be a bug and you can report to a GM/game manufacture.

Well, I've been playing Medieval 2 for about 5 years and haven't run into this issue before. However, I did notice after posting this that my graphics drivers were not up to date. Updating them now. Is it possible that the out of date drivers are the cause?
