Just to let you know...Mine didnt throttle the firsst 4 days so dont get to excited if it doesnt

Which again makes me think that the problem is really a Problem!

If the CPU "is designed that way" it should throttle right from day one (ok you will have to stress it but still)!! If it took a couple of days for the throttling to occur, there seems to be some cooling failure!

So what are you guys going to do about it? Sit here and hope for acer to write down a soulution? No, we need to call them! EVERYONE NEEDS TO CALL THEM SO THEY CAN UNDERSTAND!

I am curious do all the W700's have this issue?  I just purchased a W700-6691 and I was wondering if this tablet has the same issue.  I have not received mine yet and if it has this issue I am going to not open it and send it back.

Depends, mine doesn't shut down turbo until after running full load for a duration of 10 seconds. Which under normal usage very rarely happens, so for me personally I don't really consider that an issue. But if you are a gamer, the iGPU performance is subpar for this 3317u processor in comparison to other devices with the same processor.

Today I downloaded Vindictus, rpg game, look it up on youtube, very good game with high graphics! Anyhows, I played it for like 30min or so and it went so smooth, my cpu stayed at ~2500 all the time and my cpu reached 74°C I have never gone up more than 67 and thats when I play skyrim, isnt it wierd that it doesnt throttle now? Can this all be a system bug, a big one? Oh and by the way, I googled i5 3317u maximum temp and the max temp is 105°C wich is a big plus to me, in this case Acer choose the proccessor wisly

One queation... why hasnt anyone tried to comfigure the system with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility? If anyone wants to try pleaae test that, I have no experience in that so I will wait

Runs with the i3-3317 USA version, whether it works or not is another matter !
