Acer 5600u - no way to enable SSD cache

To switch on Intel Rapid Storage Technology (SSD cache), HDD disks need to be configured as SATA RAID in BIOS. My BIOS doesn't have this option - AHCI and IDE only. My 5600u came with Win7 originally, so there is no BIOS upgrade for it (I run the one available at Acer support - it stops with error "wrong bios size").

Any ideas? It looks like the feature of 20Gb SSD cached declared doesn't work and I can return this computer back to the store.

I've found at a different forum that Acer uses different from Intel Rapid Storage Technogly technology - ExpressCache from Diskeeper. It should have been installed at the original Win7 machine - my 5600u came with Win7, not Win8. Unfortunately ExpressCache is not available for download, distributed to OEMs only. Acer does officialy support an upgrade to Win8 for the 5600u, so it is still looking as a malfunction to me.
