S7-391 Updater keeps prompting me to downgrade Bios

Hi everyone, Acer Updater keeps prompting me to update my BIOS to version 2.09 but I have installed the latest one, which is the 2.13 published on the Download section. Should I downgrade to 2.09?

Oddly enough, there's a separate driver for Bluetooth, dated 2013/04/03 version 8.0.0.222 (226.7MB), as you can see, it has the same date as the latest WiFi drivers, maybe this is the solution for those who have problems with the Bluetooth...

I use the Bluetooth mouse a lot and haven't had any problem wit the WiFi and the mouse with the latest driver or the older versions

It would be interesting to see if the WIFI problem on the S7, as Gerardo25 explained, is because the internal cables of the WIFI are connected wrong.

Greetings,

I just notice that images with high contrast that are displayed for long time on the screen stay visible on the screen for minutes even after the image changes, it's like if the image were burning the screen but they disappear after some minutes.

I have posted two images showing the problem on my skydrive:

This happens along all the border of the screen with high contrast images, I haven't tested if this happens on the middle of the screen, I'll soon.

Is this normal? Am I the only one with this problem? I'm using an Aspire S7-391

Just upgraded to 2.12 and no problem, the only difference is that it seems they fixed the weird problem with the brightness of the screen I had when switching from dark images to the bright ones, I could see how after switching back to the bright image, the brightness of the screen and sharpness changed

This is odd, I haven't had any problem with the v217 V3. I had the 221 installed and I just had one disconnection in two weeks, just for fun I installed again the 217 v3 and no problems in 3 days so far

Luckily, I haven't had any problem with the WIFI after updating to the .221, I know this problem is frustrating but I have hope that there'll be a more efective fix in coming drivers for users that still have problems

So far I haven't had any problems with my WIFI after updating to the .221 drivers, yesterday I used the laptop for 6-8hrs for work and play and no problem at work and home! By the way, I updated to the latest driver by clicking on the repair button on the driver installation and that's it, I dind't uninstall the old ones or anything else. I'll keep posting updates if situation changes

I've been using my laptop for 4-5hrs with no problem with my WIFI at home with the latest drivers, also using the Bluetooth mouse. Tomorrow I'll try at work and see how it performs

There's a new driver detailed as WiFi Enhanced, the version is 10.0.0.221, I'm downloading it right now, I'll post any news about it:

it would be a good idea, I know Windows 8 RT had a bug with the WiFi and the limited connectivity thing but it was fixed already and I followed the steps to apply this fix but didn't work with the regular version of Windows 8, the problem is still present

I can confirm this, and I think it gets worse once you update to the .217... I have tried uninstalling the old driver and installing the new one after a restart; updating the old one without uninstallation... The common problem is that it loses the internet connectivity, you can clearly see the warning sign on the signal icon and it usually gets fixed quicky by just waiting some seconds, but today it totally lost the connectivity to the WIFI network and it was unable to reconnect again, even after a restart. I was looking for some information in the system events but it has a generic description that says that it couldn't connect to the network. I'm wondering if this is a hardware problem more than a software problem.
