Installing new Solid State Drive

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5745G 6323 laptop. I was thinking of installing a new 64GB SSD(Kingston SSDNow V100 2.5" Form factor, 3.0GBps interface). I believe I am choosing the right option as far as the specifications are concerned. It would be great if someone confirms about the specification before I buy the product.

Thank you.

GPU Overheated.

Hi,

I bought Acer Aspire 5745G 6323(Intel core i7 720QM, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 15.6" screen) in May 2011 and am currently using it in India. I am facing problems with my GPU(Nvidia Geforce 420M). The computer seems to have slowed down. Further, my GPU temperature is constant at 234 degree Celsius! I checked it both in windows and in Linux operating systems. I would like to know if this is a problem with the temperature sensor or whether the GPU itself is spoilt. Apart from the temperature and slow operations I find nothing wrong with my system.

Thanks in advance.

S R V Vishwanath.
