Thanks a lot for speedy replies, never crossed my mind re: browser and you were spot on. I have had an issue for months with my laptop restarting after start up and I have tried many solutions from various forums but it still keeps happening.

Every time I try to access the support page it always says no service. I want to check out drivers and can't get anywhere.

I have shutdown and restarted again and no crash but this has happened before and I'm sure it will return. From the event viewer there appears to be a driver fault. Screenshot below.

Followed your instructions and typical the laptop didn't crash this morning. I will update when it happens again. I am also posting the event viewer for this morning if it helps at all.

Firstly,thanks for your help on this. I am a bit worried about BSOD, will I be able to return to start up if this happens?

It happens shortly after desktop appears. If it was for updates would it not tell me?

This is a fairly new laptop and runs smoothly in normal operation. However after a normal power up everything is set up and normal but randomly, and often, will restart then functions normally again.
