Turns out it was the bios options of "safe boot mode" and "launch csm" which needed tweaking. New hardware is not recognised without those. My gaming performances were not satisfactory and i tried upgrading the video card with something i had lying around. I installed it in the pcie slot hooked the monitor and on booting got no image. Tested the card on another machine it still works. I was told by an acer representative it was because the power supply couldn't handle the card.I bought a new power supply and a new video card. Installed both, still no image. I figured maybe there was a video conflict with the "onboard GPU". There is nothing in the bios about it. I don't know if it would be possible to remove it but i don't know where t look. PC is brand new it didn't have time to get a defective pcie slot i think.
