Does anybody successful upgrade the ram for r7-572g, i placed the ram into the 2nd slot. it's still detected as 8GB as if the slot is useless. not sure why. i read somewhere this babe can go up to 16 gb. i was assumming it's 8 x 8 for the slot. i could be wrong.

Hi All,

Need some clarification. I have attempted to upgrade the ultrabook myself. Mine is Acer Aspire R7 572g. I bought a Crucial MSATA 256gb and got it installed onboard and screw everything back in.

I checked when i booted up, the drive was formatted as GPT with NTFS configuration.

Made my recovery usb disk and backup the drivers. I tried the bios configuration to enable the F12 boot menu and booted with my USB recovery disk. I still dont see any option to "recover the windows to mSata drive"

Did i miss something??
