We had a wifi drop problem on our C720 on our home network. The wifi would drop about every hour. We tried it on a public network and it worked well. We tried it at home with the C720 right next to the modem and it still had the problem. Other devices worked well on our local network. We then tried it with our network's security turned off and it worked. There are four security settings: security off, WPA-WPA2 personal, WPA, WPA2 personal, and WEP. Our ISP recommended not using WEP since it dates from the early 1990's and is easily worked around. The only setting that works is WPA2 personal, which is the newest one. WPA stands for Wireless Protected Access. WPA was developed in 2003, WPA2 personal in 2004. From this it appears that there is an incompatibility between WPA and the C720. For us it was a wireless security setting in our Wifi that caused the problem with our C720. It's working quite well now with the new setting. The default setting that caused the problem was WPA-WPA2 personal.
