Acer V5 472 touchpad problem (pointer jumping on screen)

Hi, I'm extremely disappointed with the touchpad of my Acer computer (Aspire V5-472-6 BR826). The issue is that according to the surface I'm using the laptop sometimes it works properly and sometimes it doesn't (for example it usually works well on my lap but not on my desk at work!) it responds to my gestures with the pointer jumping on the screen which is extremely annoying and makes the device useless for portability matters as I have to carry a USB mouse in order to use it. I would like to know if there is a fix for that. Thank you!
