Installing a Samsung SSD into an Acer Veriton X275

I'm attempting to install a Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB SSD into my Verifton X275. I've initialized the disk to MBR and used the Samsung data migration tool to clone the existing HDD. However, I can't get the Acer to boot from the SSD when I install it in the chassis. I get an error prompting me that it can't it find bootable media. When the SSD is plugged into the PC via the USB to SATA cable, the BIOS will recognize it. However, when the SSD is connected via a SATA cable, the BIOS doesn't see it.

Any thoughts?
