SYMPTOMS

The Aspire R7-571 may unexpectedly shut down when working on battery power. The internal battery is equipped with a safety feature to cut the power when the casing of the notebook is opened. However, if the central battery screw becomes loose, it can trigger this safety precaution in error.

SOLUTION

If you experience this issue, you need to tighten the two screws in the center of the unit with a Torx T-8 screwdriver. If you have already tightened the screws and continue to experience this problem or if you are unable to tighten the screws, please contact Acer support.
